Sherubtse Premiere League was not as it was expected.

Sherubtse premiere league was very much fantasized and looked upon. Those who are attached towards the game of football in the college are very well aware of Sherubtse premiere league. The idea of such a league had landed in the mind of a second year student and he had managed to get some seed money from Bhutan Football Federation. The first season of the league was held successfully and it did hold a very positive image in the minds of interested Sherubtseans and i too heard about it while i was in home.
i had a call and one of a second year student who knew about me playing football selected me as a player in his new team for second league of Sherubtse premiere league. that time he told me about the tournament and in a way i got excited too. upon reaching Sherubtse i saw people talking about it and the love for the game football was immense. the football ground which was almost a barren land was always booked and covered by interested players.
A league with a change.
I played for Father Mackey F.C who had secured the last position in the first season of Sherubtse premiere league. The team was never expected to do well as it didn't had potential players and were lacking in coordination and team cooperation. the team went through massive change as it recruited new players from freshers and i was one of them. The team which gained no attention from the crowd eventually surprised everyone. Father Mackey won every match they played and undoubtedly were the best team in the second season of Sherubtse premiere league.
There was efforts from the teams and their management but at last there lacked the efforts from the organizers. Father Mackey had done exceptionally well reached at top of the table leaving behind seven teams. in the closing ceremony of the so called "sherubtse premiere league" there was no preparations. the organizers had failed to provide the winning team with cash prize and medals. all it did was brought some officials and fixed a microphone and a small trophy was there in the front. players were disappointed
, so were the supporters who walked away after all there was there was nothing to watched in the closing ceremony Sherubtse premiere league. after one whole year of SPL, all that the winner got was small trophy and a very quite and unexpected closing ceremony. Cash prizes were given later which made the teams furious and unhappy. Sherubtse premiere league was not as it was expected.

UNITED AND ME

Red devils of London is one of the most biggest and renowned club in the world of football. Manchester united was 1878 as newton health LYR F.C. it is 136 years old as of today and has a club's stadium in old Trafford. the club changed its name to Manchester united from Newton Health LYR F.C in the year 1902 and moved to Old Trafford in the year 1910. without any doubt the club is one of the most successful club in the English football league.
it has won the most league titles in the English history of football, winning 20 league titles and currently holds the record of 11 FA cups, 4 league titles and 20 FA community shields. the club has also won 3 European cup, one UEFA cup and one fifa club world cup.
in 1958 the club went through Munich air disaster where it claimed eight player's life. the club went through massive change and transformation under the era of Sir Alex Ferguson who jointly with his newly formed team won 28 major honors, and 38 in total, from November 1986 to may 2013 when he announced his retirement after 26 years at the club. Manchester united is the 3rd richest club in the world for 2011-12 in terms of revenue.
Manchester united club holds a very special place in my mind and my heart. It is an English professional club but still i am some how connected to the team. when the club is in good form and performs well it makes me happy and real proud but when does the opposite it upsets me. i tend get psychologically disturbed too. The club had had it's worst season these year, finishing 7th in the league table losing the league and champions league spot at the same time under the management of so called "chosen one" David Moyes.
whatever happens, the club does good or bad i am always a true red devil's fan. i still believe united will come up and prove who they actually are under the management of Louis Vaan Gaal. GLORY GLORY GLORY MAN UTD.

My lesson, my vacation

I fractured my leg. It feels awful; the pain is immense and cannot be explained easily. It was all during the game of soccer; I was already very excited about the match and was looking real forward to that match, after all it was our family’s match. Such kind of football event was a rare and totally a new thing for us. Everything was managed by my elder brother and in fact he was the overall coordinator and a captain too. We were already down in our earlier match against a local team of a region located in the heart of Bhutan. Every member of our family was disappointed with our earlier match and had also lost the determination and faith towards the game. But we were ready and at the corner of our heart and mind, somewhere deep down we believed that we can overcome them. With that hidden and fragile hope we went to the football ground where we were going to have our match played.

The football ground was dry and dusty as every ground would be during time of harsh winter. Upon reaching the ground to our loss and their benefit the opponents were reloaded with better players and a new goalie too. At that very moment, yes that very moment. I could see in my team’s faces and eyes, the fragile hope that we earlier had had reached at the edge of a height whereby it could fall any time. We lost our hope. Nevertheless, we didn’t lose our hopes completely and tried our best to hold it. I personally believe that whenever the opponent is of tougher ones the match ultimately turns out to be of interesting and full of surprises.

‘Whew’ went the whistle and the match started. We played and most of the people wouldn’t believe I scored two consecutive goals due to a fabulous assist contributed by my uncle. We lead for some time and were leveled by the mighty opponent. To our disguise, not very soon after the draw, the opponent scored a unique goal from a free kick and up they went. We were not done yet, we played and tried our best to keep our family’s pride and name. From a corner that we won, a very high flying ball came in between me and the opponent’s goalie. At that very moment all I thought was hat trick and I jumped and stretched my neck as far as it went, there was an inch gap between my forehead and the ball. I saw it and continued but, after that all I could remember was I was on the ground crying. I had twisted my ankle and fractured one of my leg. The game was then there stopped and off I went to hospital which offered me some injections and plaster on my right leg. Through this experience I learned that things never goes the way we think and I also knew what the real pain is.

Life of mine

The oldest and most distinguished college in the eastern part of Bhutan is filled with lots of activities going on, academically and emotionally students are involved. A set of hardworking and sincere students are always found in the study rooms, libraries and labs with their eyes sighted only to the books and laptops in front of them. While there are also some students who never touches book and going to study rooms and libraries would be considered a very bad joke upon them. There is a difference in every personality and it is in college atmosphere you get to see various breed of people. I am one of a kind, who uses a book very productively. Books to me are like sleeping pills, I have never failed to use them whenever I suffered from wakeful nights and it had also never failed to do its job. Laptop of mine contains more of movies and songs than notes related to my subject. In a way I am too a very hardworking person.

Parents told me to study hard upon reaching here, avoid bad convoy and not to make girlfriends. My mother even to a point told me to use condoms and doubted my health status, I still remember that moment where I blushed like a girl and reached a state where I couldn’t face my mother. I am trying to become a god son of them by following the advices given by my parents, I am avoiding bad escorts as far as possible, thinking to study harder( not done yet ) and I am not making any girlfriends as I have already got it from my high school days. And due to our special connection that I believe we have in our relationship, here we are together.

The question rises here. What is life? Are you happy with your life? Can’t it be a better one? Is it my life? It is never too late, life can be changed! Just think are you living your life or life of others. ” It is better to hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.” (Andre Gide, autumn leaves). Out here in Sherubtse, I am living my life. I am not always bounded by my parents and loved ones advices and dreams. I live my dream and always do what my heart actually wants me to do. Life still goes on, happily.

Father Mackey FC unvanquished

Father Mackey FC stays on top of the Sherubtse Premiere League as they are still not vanquished.
In the ongoing league tournament in Sherubtse College, an unexpected and a fresh team of quality players called father Mackey FC is reining. The club was originally formed by group of student from second year along with the introduction of Sherubtse premier league in Kanglung the previous year. Last season the club’s performance was of poor quality and players and the owners weren’t happy with their own piece. Never the less, the club went through a massive change with the upcoming of new and talented players, especially from first year. Said the team captain Karma.

Father Mackey FC

Father Mackey FC is doing exceptionally well and moving ahead every now and then. To these the club owner, Y-VIA club coordinator as proud as a peacock told us,“We play with our heart”. It celebrated its ninth successive win since the start of the league, last week when they thrashed the mighty Phorabs United 6-1. The club is still unvanquished and happy are both players and the owner. The team whose name is followed after the co-founder of Sherubtse, Father W Mackey has played a total of 11 matches, out of which it conceded 16 goals and scored 49 goals. It has lost to only one team till today and is currently on the top of the league table with 30 points.
